Marketing Representatives

The SC FAQs state that Marketing Representatives (MR) have to complete 5 training days per year, with each training day consisting of 7 hours of training. During the Covid pandemic, the SC gave a temporary allowance for MR to satisfy their training requirement by taking 5 e-learning courses each with 5 CPE points. After the pandemic, the allowance has not been renewed.

The SIDC approves a face-to-face course for 10 CPE points if the duration is at least 6 hours. For e-learning courses, the SIDC approves 10 CPE points if the e-learning course is at least 3 hours long. It can be argued that completing a 3-hour e-learning course with 10 CPE points is the same as completing a 6-hour face-to-face course also with 10 CPE points.
