Malaysian venture capital (VC)
Jelawang Capital’s core mandate is to strengthen Malaysia’s startup and VC ecosystem through two complementary programmes. The Emerging Fund Managers’ Programme supports Malaysian GPs raising early funds, helping build a deeper domestic fund-management base, while the Regional Managers’ Initiative seeks to attract established regional and global VC managers to invest in or through Malaysia. Jelawang has an initial RM1.0 billion allocation, operates under Khazanah’s Dana Impak mandate, and limits its commitment to any one fund to 30% of that fund’s size.
