If PH thinks public sentiment is turning against it, it would usually prefer to delay GE16 rather than rush into a snap election, because extra time can help it improve its image, let current dissatisfaction fade, and wait for BN to suffer its own scandal or setback. But waiting is only useful if conditions are likely to improve; if the economy, coalition unity, or voter mood get worse, delaying can actually hurt PH more than it helps.
