Artificial intelligence (AI) trends
Future wars are unlikely to be fought entirely by AI, but AI could increasingly run much of the machinery of war, including factories, logistics, sensing, targeting support, and autonomous drones, while humans still handle strategy, authorization, and escalation because of trust, accountability, and legal constraints. The bigger risk is that AI makes warfare cheaper, faster, and harder to control, which could increase the likelihood of conflict and raise the danger of rapid escalation.
